OUR VILLAGE:
Village Place opened on 17th Street, San Diego, providing graduates from St. Vincent's programs with 47 units of affordable housing.

Now 10 years old, the Village celebrated its volunteers, “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” and estimated that they gave an average of 135,096 volunteer hours each year to clients in St. Vincent programs. At that time their work was the equivalent of 65 full time employees, valued at $710,000 in salaries, at minimum-wage positions.

FATHER JOE:
The American Planning Association awarded Father Joe its Paul Davidoff Advocacy award for his work to meet the needs of homeless people.
