Clients and residents prepare for self-sufficiency and life-long learning through training and classes in the Career & Education Center. Village residents and community members have a variety of programs to choose from, including adult education/GED, computer literacy, employment services, and resource center. Challenge to Change motivational course and job seeking skills classes are available to Village residents as well.
Impact:
Annually, approximately 85 Village residents secure employment through the Career & Education Center.
Many others find employment on their own.
100% of all Village residents enrolled in computer classes received at least one computer class certification.
83% of Village residents enrolled in Adult Education increased academic test scores at least one grade level, with 59% raising their scores above the 8.9 grade level.
61% increase in academic skills, work-readiness skills and life skills in preparation for self-sufficiency.
