Father Joe recognized early in his career the lack of comprehensive services available to people in need.

When he created St. Vincent de Paul Village, Father Joe was adamant: To truly change someone's life, you have to do things differently.

Our clients who turn to the Village for help quickly discover this difference. We welcome those in need with open arms – and a list of ground rules that make them responsible for reaching their goals. Accepting the rules demonstrates one’s sincerity to making the most of Village services.

A staff member listens to each person or family explain their situation and needs. Clients then learn about our extensive menu of programs, and begin to view their situation in a new light: They begin to look forward.

A person can find almost everything at St. Vincent de Paul Village – except an excuse not to succeed.
